I am:

A chef who works at a Mexican restaurant in the heart of Helsinki.

I have struggled for a long while with myself and my calling, being on the verge of giving up several times. Having the right kind of attitude and strength I've kept going and pulled through, until at last the chance came for me to move on and get a better position.

For me food isn't about surviving and eating healthy as a ... leaf. No, food is a passion. You make it with love (and wine and cheese, mostly wine) and you make it good.
When I cook I always enjoy it. Even in a sweaty restaurant I love it. The gross feeling after a long evening shift where you come home exhausted and smelling of various foods and everything is greasy: best feeling in the world.
My thirst for knowledge is insane, I want to know everything there is about food and its history.


I started this blog mostly so I can memorise my own recipes, but also for anyone who seeks inspiration.
I will share stories about my failures and battle scars, ancient recipes I've used many years, ask for opinions and just generally talk and post recipes about food.
